Ultrawave’s Hygea 5000 is a fully automated ultrasonic cleaner for cannulated instruments. Designed specifically for pre-sterilisation cleaning of instruments used in operating theatre procedures, the Hygea 5000 is installed in many hospitals and Sterile Service Centres throughout the UK and Ireland.

The Hygea 5000 provides a complete, automated cleaning cycle for hollow lumen and standard surgical instruments and can be used as part of a validated decontamination process. The auto fill, dose, rinse and drain functions provide a complete pre-sterilisation cleaning process for even the most complex instruments.

Combining Ultrawave's experience in cleaning complex instruments and components, with automatic cycle validation, the Hygea 5000 meets the relevant guidelines for ultrasonic cleaners as stipulated in HTM2030.

The Hygea 5000 is approved on the NHS Supply Chain framework for Sterile Services.
